About The Bake Fest

A virtual event that doesn't feel virtual.

We work our magic to deliver a fun, upbeat and professionally hosted virtual event that you can enjoy from your favorite baking spot.

See for yourself!

A weekend of you time, baking

Enjoy two glorious days of baking, learning, & connection with 20+ classes hosted by expert bakers.

8 events since 2021. 600 average annual attendees. 20+ classes.

Your biggest questions, answered.

The Bake Fest is for bakers who want to do more than scroll – they want to get better. Whether you’re a passionate hobbyist, a home bakery owner, or someone dreaming of their first custom cake order, this event gives you the skills, connections, and confidence to keep growing. If you bake for the joy, the challenge, or the creative outlet, you’re in the right place.

You’ll get live, hands-on instruction in baking and decorating from experts who walk you through each step. Whether you’re aiming to nail the science behind perfect scones and baguettes or master creative design techniques like fondant cake toppers and modeling chocolate, the classes are built to leave you with real skills you can use right away. View the class lineup here.

The Bake Fest takes place on a simple, easy-to-use virtual platform – no fancy tech skills required. You’ll be able to join live baking and decorating classes across two themed days: Baking Day and Decorating Day. It’s interactive, welcoming, and designed to make you feel like you’re right there in the kitchen with the instructors.

Before the event, you’ll get a full materials list for each class so you can bake along live or follow along later with the recordings. The full class schedule will be released closer to the event, rest assured you’ll have plenty of time to plan and prep.

You can attend the classes that interest you, chat with instructors and other attendees, win prizes, and get inspired – all from the comfort of your own kitchen. And no, you don’t need to be on camera unless you want to be.

You’ve got your coffee ready, your laptop propped up on the counter safe from stray flour, and maybe an apron on because at 9:00 AM CT, we’re kicking things off with the whole Bake Fest crew.

Then Genevieve Ko from New York Times Cooking takes the stage to talk about the sweet side of baking mistakes.

After that, the first round of live classes begins, and you’ve got a choice to make:

  • Are you making an Oreo Cheesecake Cake with Lindsay Conchar?
  • Learning the science behind authentic Italian gelato with Jessica Mode?
  • Or baking three different kinds of scones with Jackie Thesing?

Maybe you bake right alongside them. Maybe you watch with your coffee, take notes, and save the baking for next weekend. Either way works.

When that class block ends, the instructors come together live so you can ask your burning questions, including questions for the instructors whose classes you didn’t choose.

Then it’s time to choose again: Texas-Czech kolaches, s’mores sandwich cookies with toasted marshmallow buttercream, or a cranberry cherry lattice pie.

By this point, there’s a decent chance your kitchen looks like something happened there. (Something definitely did.)

Later, maybe you spend two hours making artisan baguettes with Baker Bettie. Or maybe you decide you’ve baked enough for one day, move from the kitchen counter to the couch, set your tablet on your lap, and watch while eating your earlier work.

Throughout the day, you’ll also find live sponsor demos, giveaways, conversations, and plenty of opportunities to interact with instructors and other bakers.

We wrap up Baking Day together at Happy Hour, talking about what we made, what went sideways, what we learned, and what we’re planning to try next.

Then we wake up Sunday and do it all over again with caramel, buttercream, French fruit tarts, royal icing, vintage piping, Christina Tosi, Mackenzie Rubish, and so much more.

That is The Bake Fest. It’s a weekend where baking gets to be the main event.

Instead of saving another recipe on your phone and promising yourself you’ll try it someday, you’re making the time to bake, learn, experiment, and spend the weekend with other people who are every bit as into this stuff as you are.

And because every class is recorded, you don’t have to cram everything into two days. Your ticket includes all of the class recordings for a full year, plus the recipes, supply lists, and class handouts to keep forever.

Your Bake Fest ticket gives you access to the entire two-day virtual event, including:

  • 20+ baking and decorating classes taught by expert bakers and instructors
  • All keynotes, conversations, and live sessions
  • Recipes, supply lists, and class materials so you can bake along from home
  • Live chat and Q&A opportunities with instructors during the event
  • Sponsor demos, giveaways, and special offers
  • Recordings of every class for a full year

Several classes happen at the same time, so you won’t be able to attend everything live. That’s exactly why every ticket includes the recordings. Pick the classes you’re most excited about during Bake Fest weekend, then come back and watch the rest whenever you want.

One ticket gets you everything. There are no separate class fees or upgrades required.

Absolutely. Every class is recorded and available for you to watch for a full year. If life gets in the way (or you just need a break), you won’t miss a thing. You can revisit your favorite techniques, rewatch instructions step-by-step, and catch up on anything you skipped – on your schedule.

The Bake Fest was created by Stefani Pollack, the baker behind Cupcake Project (800K @cupcakeproject Instagram followers) and a longtime advocate for the baking community. Stef built The Bake Fest to give bakers something that didn’t exist: a virtual space that’s high-quality, interactive, and actually worth your time. Now in its fifth year, the event is trusted by top instructors, leading brands, and thousands of bakers.

We love working with talented instructors and brands that bakers genuinely use and trust.
