FAQ

We have tried to address any questions you may have about The Bake Fest in this FAQ. However, if you have remaining questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us at hello@thebakefest.com .

What is The Bake Fest?

The Bake Fest is a two day virtual event which brings the whole baking community together through workshops, demos, business sessions, and networking opportunities.

How do I attend the event?

After you buy your ticket, you'll have access to join the live online event from wherever you are!

You'll have the best experience on a desktop or laptop. You may use a phone or tablet, but the event's interactive features, like the networking lounge, won't work on those devices.

We'll send you a link to access the event as the event approaches.

I don't live in the United States. Can I still attend?

Yes!

The event will be held from 10AM to 7PM CDT.

We realize that the timing will make attending the entire event live difficult for some people. If you can't make the whole thing, we suggest taking advantage of our recording options.

(Please note that for some time zones such as those in Australia, the dates will be a day later than the stated dates.)

Will the event be recorded?

Yes!

After the event is over, VIP ticket holders will receive access to recordings of the entire event.

General Admission ticket holders who purchase the recording option will have access to all recordings of the General Admission day.

How long will the event recordings be available?

If you purchase a ticket with recordings, they will be available for a minimum of three months.

By speaker request, some recordings will be available for a shorter period. These sessions will be clearly marked on the schedule.

I'm a home baker. Is this event for me?

Yes!

While there are many business sessions for people who want to grow a baking business, this event is also an incredible opportunity for home bakers.

The VIP day will be a great chance for you to learn new baking techniques you may not have tried.

On the General Admission day, there will be baking demos from the top bakers in the industry all day long!

I own a bakery. Is this event for me?

Yes!

You'll have the opportunity to improve your baking skills and business skills. Plus, you can network with other bakery owners from around the world.

I want to work with brands as a social influencer. Is this event for me?

Yes!

You'll have many opportunities to learn from and network with social influencers. You'll find out what it takes to get the best brand deals!

I would like to turn my baking hobby into a business. Is this event for me?

Yes!

You'll learn about selling out of your home, teaching classes, writing a cookbook, opening a storefront, and becoming a social influencer. Choose your path after learning from the best!

What's the difference between a VIP ticket and a General Admission ticket?

Only VIP ticket holders will be able to attend the VIP workshops on May 21. These will be in-depth, two hour intensive baking workshops. VIPs will also be invited to attend an exclusive VIP networking event with speakers and sponsors.

General Admission ticket holders will have access to all sessions on May 22.

Can I still apply to be a speaker?

Our schedule is almost full, but if you have a business skill or baking technique that needs to be shared with the world, please apply and we may be able to create a session for you.

What currency is the payment in?

All currency is in USD. You can pay with a credit card or use Paypal.

What do I need for the day of the event?

If you plan to attend a VIP session marked as hands-on, make sure to have necessary supplies on hand. We'll send you a supply list two weeks before the event.

Otherwise, all you need is your desktop or laptop (you can also use a phone or tablet, but you'll miss out on some of the networking opportunities) and something to take notes with.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever you will be comfortable in, keeping in mind that you will have your camera on at times and may be speaking with brand representatives.

Are tickets refundable?

Tickets are not refundable, however they are transferable.

If you purchase a ticket with recordings, you will have access to the recordings even if you miss the live event.

Will closed captioning be available?

Yes. The platform we are using, Airmeet, supports live closed captioning for our events. Note that there are a few limitations in terms of which devices are supported.

We can add closed captioning to specific recordings on an as-needed basis, so please let us know if you need that.
